Sharing is Caring!
Compose Your Own music is fun, clear directions. Great for students to do on their own or as a class.
PBS Thumb Piano is great for multicultural or world music.
Freaky Frank is less educational in my eyes. More for fun. Although if your goal is listening to sound examples of different types of guitars- that might make it useful.
Sphinx kids kind of has it all. Music teachers could do a whole unit using just this website. Great find!
Classics for Kids: Note Games- I play this game all the time with my students. Spelling words with music notes is a great cross-curricular activity.
Arts Alive is a valuable tool for music teachers. I didn't have much time to look around, but it looks like an educational site music classes can really get into.
DSO Kids is another site I use regularly for music. The graphics and information are age-appropriate and engaging.
Great list of sites!
